Gezicht voor wat onaanzienlijk was
Aandacht voor de verschijningsvorm van veel dat op zijn weg kwam leidde tot een collectie van vooral afval met nog slechts sporen van herkomst. Door de fragmenten samen te brengen in wat je als collages kunt zien worden ze alsnog ondergebracht, waar ze het zo goed mogelijk met elkaar moeten zien te vinden.
Herman Hertzberger (Amsterdam, 6 juli 1932) is een Nederlands architect. Hij kreeg internationale bekendheid door zijn architectonische en theoretische bijdragen aan de architectuurstroming van het structuralisme. In 2012 ontving hij voor zijn oeuvre de prestigieuze Royal Gold Medal.

Attention to the appearance of many things that crossed his path led to a collection composed mainly of discarded materials, bearing only faint traces of their origins. By bringing these fragments together—what can be seen as collages—they are, in a sense, rehomed, left to coexist as best they can.
Herman Hertzberger (born July 6, 1932, in Amsterdam) is a Dutch architect. He gained international recognition for his architectural and theoretical contributions to the structuralist movement in architecture. In 2012, he was awarded the prestigious Royal Gold Medal for his body of work.
